D.R. Horton New Homes in Southeast Florida: 68 Quick Move-In Homes From $377,990

Short answer: D.R. Horton — America's largest homebuilder since 2002 — has 68 quick move-in homes listed across 15 communities in Southeast Florida right now, priced from $377,990 to $1,011,490. Two of those communities are in Palm Beach County: Lakeside Landing in Royal Palm Beach and Blossom Trail in Greenacres. A quick move-in home is a brand-new home that is already built or nearly finished, so you can close in weeks instead of waiting months. Below is the full breakdown: what each Palm Beach County community offers, what the cheapest and the most expensive homes on the list actually buy, what the builder's monthly payment estimates mean, and what to check before you buy.

What is a quick move-in home?

A quick move-in home — sometimes called a spec home or inventory home — is a new home the builder has already started or finished without a buyer lined up. D.R. Horton builds the home, chooses the finishes, and lists it for sale. You tour the actual house, not a model, and if you buy it, you are typically weeks from closing instead of the many months a from-scratch build takes.

That is the whole appeal. You get a brand-new home — new roof, new systems, new appliances, a builder warranty — without the construction wait and without competing against ten other buyers for a resale the way so many South Florida listings still work. The trade-off is choice: the floorplan, the lot, and the finishes are already decided. If you love the house as it stands, that is not a trade-off at all.

How much do D.R. Horton homes cost in Southeast Florida?

As listed on November 5, 2026, D.R. Horton's Southeast Florida inventory runs from $377,990 to $1,011,490 across 68 homes in 15 communities. The cheapest home on the list is a townhome at Hadley Place in Florida City at $377,990. The most expensive is a one-story single-family home at Capistrano in Cutler Bay at $1,011,490. Everything else falls between those two poles, and the spread is the story: this is not a single price point, it is a ladder. A first-time buyer, a growing family, and a downsizer looking for one-story living can all find something on the same list.

Here is the shape of that ladder. Townhomes start in the high $370,000s and run through the low $500,000s. Single-family homes start in the low $500,000s — Juniper Cove in Homestead has a one-story home at $537,090 — and climb through the $600,000s and $900,000s to the $1,011,490 top of the list. Palm Beach County's two communities sit in the middle: Blossom Trail in Greenacres from $495,790 and Lakeside Landing in Royal Palm Beach from $513,000.

Every home also carries an estimated monthly payment published by D.R. Horton — $2,791.20 a month on the $377,990 Hadley Place townhome, $3,790.51 on the $513,000 Lakeside Landing townhome. Those are the builder's estimates, not a lender's quote; the next section explains how to read them.

What does the monthly payment estimate include?

D.R. Horton shows an estimated monthly payment next to each home's price. Treat that number as a starting point, not a promise. It is the builder's estimate, and the only way to know what your payment would actually be is to get the full breakdown behind it.

Before you rely on any monthly estimate, ask for five things in writing: the interest rate and loan type, the down payment, whether property taxes are included and at what amount, whether homeowner's insurance is included, and whether HOA dues or mortgage insurance are in the number. A small change in any one of those moves the payment by hundreds of dollars a month. The estimate is useful for comparing homes against each other on the same list, because the builder applies the same assumptions to all of them. It is not useful as your budget until a lender runs your actual numbers.

That is also why I tell every buyer the same thing: get pre-approved before you fall in love with a house. A pre-approval tells you what you can actually borrow, at what rate, and with what monthly payment — and it makes your offer stronger when the home you want has other buyers looking at it. If you want an introduction to a lender who knows new construction, call or text me and I will connect you.

Which Palm Beach County communities have D.R. Horton homes?

Two: Lakeside Landing in Royal Palm Beach and Blossom Trail in Greenacres. Both are townhome communities priced from under $531,000 — the closest thing to an affordable new-construction entry point in Palm Beach County right now.

Lakeside Landing, Royal Palm Beach — from $513,000

Lakeside Landing is a townhome community in Royal Palm Beach, and its listing photo is a photograph of the actual built homes — the row of townhomes with the brick-paver driveways you see at the top of this article. The community's homes run from about 1,446 to 1,532 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and a 1-car garage in each. The three homes listed right now are 176 Lakeside Landing Drive at $513,000 (reduced from $516,990), 172 Lakeside Landing Drive at $516,990, and 168 Lakeside Landing Drive at $530,490.

The community's future amenities include a swimming pool, a cabana area, and a playground. The location is the selling point for a lot of buyers: Royal Palm Beach Commons Park is nearby, the Mall at Wellington Green is a short drive, and the Palm Beach Zoo and Lion Country Safari are both close enough for a weekend with the kids. The zoned schools are Royal Palm Beach Elementary (0.9 miles), Crestwood Community Middle School (0.8 miles), and Royal Palm Beach High School (1.3 miles). The sales office is at 106 Lakeside Landing Drive, open seven days a week.

The price cut on 176 Lakeside Landing Drive is worth a second look. A builder cutting the price on a finished townhome in Royal Palm Beach is a signal: they want it sold. If you have been watching Palm Beach County townhomes and waiting for an opening, this is the kind of opening to tour first.

Blossom Trail, Greenacres — from $495,790

Blossom Trail is a gated community in Greenacres with five floorplans ranging from 1,446 to 3,072 square feet, covering both townhomes and single-family homes. The townhomes run 1,446 to 1,472 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 1-car garages. The single-family homes run 2,034 to 3,072 square feet with 3 to 5 bedrooms, 2.5 to 4 bathrooms, and 2-car garages.

The cheapest home on the list here is 6006 Begonia Circle at $495,790 — a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhome with 1,446 square feet. It is the lowest-priced new home in Palm Beach County on D.R. Horton's entire Southeast Florida list. At the other end of the same community, 5057 Petunia Way is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom single-family home with 2,456 square feet at $733,690. Six more Begonia Circle townhomes are listed from $498,990 to $509,690. If your budget tops out under $500,000 and you want new construction in Palm Beach County, Blossom Trail is the first place to look.

What does $377,990 buy?

The lowest price on the whole list: a brand-new townhome at Hadley Place in Florida City. The home at 1156 SW 9 Avenue is listed at $377,990, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 1,446 square feet. Three more homes in the same community are listed at the same $377,990 price, and the rest of Hadley Place runs to $402,990. The community has two townhome floorplans with 1-car garages, a tot lot, energy-efficient features, and open-concept layouts.

Florida City is the value play on this list, and it is not close. Palm Cay, also in Florida City, starts at $380,990 for a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhome with 1,460 square feet at 1423 NE 4 Avenue. Palm Cay's five townhome floorplans include two with a first-floor bedroom and full bathroom. The community's amenities are already complete: a pool, a cabana, a dog park, a tot lot, and a lake trail with fitness equipment. Every home comes with smart home technology, stainless-steel appliances, and two assigned parking spaces right in front of the home.

The honest framing: Florida City is farther south, and the drive to Palm Beach County is real. What you get in exchange is the lowest new-construction price in Southeast Florida. For a first-time buyer priced out of Palm Beach County and tired of losing bidding wars, that trade is worth a tour.

What does $1 million buy?

One home on the list crosses $1 million: 10233 Bahama Drive at Capistrano in Cutler Bay, listed at $1,011,490. It is a one-story single-family home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2,315 square feet, and a 3-car garage.

Just under that top tier, Homestead has the space. Aspen Estates, west of Krome Avenue, has five floorplans with 4 to 5 bedrooms, up to 4 bathrooms, and 3-car garages. The home at 30365 SW 194th Court is listed at $903,990 with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and 2,837 square feet — the largest home on this list by square footage. Its neighbor at 30277 SW 194th Court is listed at $886,990 with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2,533 square feet. Ivy Ranch, also west of Krome Avenue, has two floorplans with 4 bedrooms, 3 to 3.5 bathrooms, and 3-car garages; the home at 29212 SW 179th Court is listed at $927,190 with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2,533 square feet.

What about the middle of the list?

Between the value tier and the premium tier, Homestead and Florida City fill out the middle. Baywood II in Florida City is a single-family community with 4 to 5 bedrooms, up to 3.5 bathrooms, and 2,046 to 2,790 square feet; the home at 643 NE 1st Street is listed at $599,990 with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2,085 square feet. Highland Estates in Homestead is a two-story single-family community with 4 bedrooms and up to 3 bathrooms in 2,046 to 2,085 square feet; the home at 18921 SW 316 Terrace is listed at $638,490.

Juniper Cove in Homestead covers the widest range in a single community: townhomes and single-family homes, one-story and two-story plans. The one-story home at 34766 SW 189th Place is listed at $537,090 with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1,322 square feet. The two-story home at 34817 SW 189th Place is listed at $624,990 with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2,456 square feet. Should you buy new construction or resale?

There is no universal right answer, only the right answer for your situation. New construction gives you a home nobody has lived in, with new systems, modern building codes, energy-efficient features, and a builder warranty. You do not inherit the last owner's roof, air conditioner, or plumbing — and for a lot of buyers, that peace of mind is the whole decision.

Resale gives you something new construction usually cannot: an established neighborhood with mature trees, a known community, and often a larger or better-located lot. Resale homes can also close faster than a home still under construction — though a finished quick move-in home closes just as fast as any resale. And resale sometimes wins on price per square foot, especially when the seller has owned the home for years.

The way I frame it for buyers: if you want new, warrantied, and move-in ready, and you are flexible on the exact finishes, a quick move-in home is usually the better buy. If you want a specific neighborhood, a specific lot, or a home with character that new construction does not offer, resale is the better buy.

What should you check before you buy a quick move-in home?

New does not mean skip the homework. Here is the checklist I run through with every new-construction buyer.

Get an inspection anyway. New homes have defects too — a rushed finish, a missed seal, a grading problem that sends water toward the house instead of away from it. An independent inspector works for you, not the builder. If the inspector finds something, the builder fixes it before closing, while you still have leverage.

Read the warranty. Ask what the builder's warranty covers, for how long, and what it excludes. Structural coverage, systems coverage, and finish coverage are usually different lengths. Get it in writing and know who to call when something goes wrong after closing.

Ask what is included and what is an upgrade. Quick move-in homes are sold as built, so the finishes you see are the finishes you get — but confirm that. Ask whether the appliances, window treatments, and landscaping are included, and whether anything in the model or the photos costs extra.

Confirm the HOA. Most communities on this list have an HOA. Ask for the monthly dues, what they cover, and whether any special assessments are planned. HOA dues are part of your real monthly cost, and they belong in your budget next to the mortgage.

Confirm the completion date. "Quick move-in" ranges from finished today to finished in a few months. Get the date in writing, and make sure your rate lock lines up with it.

Have your own agent. The builder's sales office represents the builder. You are allowed — and you should have — your own representation. It costs you nothing as a buyer in most new-construction transactions, and it means someone is reading the contract with your interests in mind. That is what I do.

How do I tour a D.R. Horton quick move-in home?

Call or text me with the home that caught your eye — or just your budget and must-haves — and I will narrow the list to the three worth touring. I will set up the tours, come with you, ask the questions that matter (completion date, warranty, HOA, what is included), and negotiate on your behalf.

These homes move. Quick move-in inventory is, by definition, limited — when a home sells, it is gone, and the next one on the list costs what the next one costs. If one of the homes in this article is the one, do not wait for the weekend to think about it. Tour it now, and decide with real numbers in front of you.
